The Education day is an annual event which takes place at St George’s University for academics and students. The theme this year was 'Excellence in higher education.' This is an opportunity for teachers and students to share ideas and best practice, talk about the way our subjects are taught and the teaching methods used, and explore the ways we teach and learn healthcare science subjects.
The day has a number of external keynote speakers who touched on rethinking education and connected curriculum between education and research.
A number of internal presentations and workshops are delivered through the day and poster presentations were also presented. During the day there was a dedicated eLearning stand in the break out area for staff and students to find out about the work being carried out by the eLearning Unit which included flyers and information on the WAVES project. The event allowed us to showcase how the work we have carried out within the institution is influencing other organisations outside within the project and beyond.
